It's a kind of Kindle! It's a kind of Kindle! Sing it again!

Did you know that you do not have to buy a Kindle to view Kindle e-books? Amazon have an application called "Kindle for PC" which allows you to view their Kindle e-books on your netbook, notebook or desktop pc, and the best thing about it is, it's FREE!

You can download it from here: Kindle for PC. You have to register in order to be able to download it and of course so that you can get the books from Amazon's website. I just used a false name, address, phone number and e-mail address. Unusually, they did not require me to verify anything by emailing me a code to enter or asking for a credit card, etc. However, if I wanted to buy a book, I would then have to enter some proper information such as credit card details, etc.

What's good news is that you don't have to buy any books because Amazon have thousands of free books to download, just follow this link to find them: Amazon Free Kindle E-Books. Such gobshites as Charles Dickens, Jack London, William Shakespeare, Anthony Trollope, Mark Twain, Honoré de Balzac, Karl Marx, Emile Zola, and others wrote these books.

Now, some of you may not like reading books on your computer, because staring at the screen too long, hurts your little eyeballs. Don't worry, because the app has a feature that allows you to reverse the screen from black type on a white background to white type on a black background, so it is easier on the eyes. It is even better than a Kindle because you can read it in the dark. Once you installed the app and downloaded a free book, go into VIEW on the menu bar, click on color and select black and it will change the screen..........simples!

In addition, Amazon has other Kindle apps for Macs, I-Pads, I-Phones and Android Phones, so if you have any of those gadgets, you can go wild reading books on them.
