Seagate 2TB Hard Drives

I know I have recommended Seagate hard drives in the past as I have a couple of them myself and I have had no problems with them.  However, I would avoid buying any Seagate 2TB Hard Drives as they are getting a bad rap/rep on the internet at the moment.  I was in a Maplin electronics store the other day and I overheard a guy returning one, he said it was making clicking noises, seized up and stopped working.  That is the same complaint as most of the complaints on hardware review and shopping websites.  It probably explains why Maplin has reduced them from £119.99 to £99.99.
